Ice Storm

My beautiful birch couldn't handle the ice. Power outages, closed schools and ice covered windows are what's happening in Northwestern Ohio today. What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

There was ice here starting about 1 am in Chicago - lots of it hitting the windows. Woke up to about four inches of snow. But now the wind picked up - luckily the snow is wet enough to not drift.

I hope your tree recovers, birch are so delicate. No ice here for which I am grateful. The snow started around 11:00 and we expect a foot or more before it's done (which in Snowville is no big deal)

I much prefer the snow to ice. Keep warm and safe.
