Snapshot - Summer of 1932

The car, grandmother’s dropped waist dress and hairstyle suggest a picture taken in the late 1920’s. Her sister Elsie’s dress style, finger wave bob, and more importantly, the little guy holding each of their hands, my dad, firmly dates the picture as summer or early fall 1932.

Your dad looks like he's just starting to walk. This picture is great not just for the hair and clothing styles but also the glimpse of the garden and orchard.

I love old pictures, I just wish I had more of them in our family collection. I am still so jealous (but happy for you) on your wonderful letter find. I must be a first generation pack rat, because non of my family held onto anything!

What a wonderful nostalgic photo!
It is exactly what I think of when I hear the phrase "the good old days."

Sweet picture, Terry. Does that car have a rumble seat? Maybe a Ford Roadster 1929 Model A?
