Oh, how sad! Every time I see one of these old homesteads I want to buy them and restore them. I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to. The sheer size of it says that it must have sheltered many of the Feasel's.
This started out as the archive blog for my original blog over at the News-Messenger under the auspices of then City Editor, Eric Lawrence. Times change, Eric's gone, and though I still maintain the original Desktop Genealogist, I have more subscribers to this, my "archive" blog, then the original. Go figure!
So welcome to the Desktop Genealogist Unplugged. Pull up a chair, kick off your shoes, and enjoy. It's pretty informal around here!

These pictures made me think about the HGTV show If Walls Could Talk!
Wonder what treasures could be found inside this old place.

Harriet and Apple,
I know it seems so sad to see that shell of a house, but I'm glad it hasn't been torn down, so that I could at least capture it a photo.
